Vantaggi
I have been with Equal Experts (EE) for over a year, the first 6 months as an individual consultant and the rest as a full-time employee. Before joining EE, I had been working as an independent consultant, from a heads-down engineer to interim CTO, for the past 12 years. - One of the reasons I decided to join EE is if I would grow my consultancy I wanted it to be just like EE. EE has a flat organization model, hence there are no “middle managers”. - Everybody who joins the network is experienced in their fields, hence, they are trusted to manage their time and the client. - Another great advantage of joining a global consultancy of senior people is you have access to a pool of information when you need help. - Above all, EE truly values its clients. There’s no pressure to grow the project and add people when not needed. Instead, we see opportunities to help our clients and bring them to their attention, we let them decide if they want to engage us. This has created trust between EE and the clients, ensuring them we have their best in mind. - As for the work/life balance, my work stress has been at the lowest for the past 18 years of my career. That doesn’t mean that work is not challenging enough, it’s the exact opposite. However, the support I have from my team and the EE network is amazing. That said, you cannot expect every project and every week to be 9-5. There are days and weeks that work is lighter and those that are a bit longer, however, the company does “NOT” expect employees and associates to put in extra hours. Equal Experts have been the best company I have been a part of. I am looking forward to seeing EE grow in the US as much as it has been in the EU.
Svantaggi
One of the cons that we had discussed previously was that we don't get to see each other as much since everyone is remote. North America team has taken a step in the right direction, now we have a quarterly get-together, where we spend a day working and going over business goals and strategies followed by team-building activities.
