While the employee benefits are excellent Equian has decided to make short and long-term disability a voluntary benefit. Life happens and this could prove challenging for an employee with limited resources that decides not to purchase disability. In addition, it would be an excellent addition and support the company culture if colleagues could share in the growth of Equian through an equity offer.

After the recent open enrollment period, associates should have noticed a slight decrease in the cost of short term disability for the 2018 plan year which we consider a small triumph and a foreshadow to eventual enhancements.
