Technology leadership is a dumpster fire. They don’t know they’re doing or how to add any real value to the company’s products. Managers will often throw subordinates under the bus in order to promote their own career agenda and often avoid taking responsibility or initiative for solving problems. This is actively harming the business and in my view, prevents the company from generating more revenue.

There are a lot. First, office politics. Equifax expects employees to be very corporate and robotic. Metrics metrics metrics. 100% focused on revenue, not customers. Metrics, metrics, metrics. PIP overuse. Even when you’re 150% to yearly plan 6mo in, they expect 300%. Make sure to keep receipts. Senior management will find the most ridiculous ways to push reps out, continently right before a huge payout of a very delayed commission plan. (Sell something in Jan 2025, you will only get a fraction of commission until June 26). That’s if the exception committee approves payout (which never happens). If you sell a big deal, don’t expect to get paid 100% of what the plan says.
