Management was easily available and willing to work through problems

Tumultuous working conditions, sometimes you would not know whether you were coming or going. Always reactive. Nothing appeared to be planned or expected. Management was unable to communicate effectively with the really big customers.

Pay was decent, HR team was very kind.

The director of the company had no idea what role he gave me. I was employed as a creative intern for the company, and my resume was very good when it came to videography. What I was trying to focus on is absorbing as much as I can from the team around me (as my role was supposed to be an apprentice to the seniors anyways) and focusing on my given tasks. I believed I was doing everything well up until the director basically admitted he hired me incorrectly and had everything he already needed from the team he already had. So everything I invested in (my £1650 camera in particular) was all put down the drain as I was off-boarded for their mistake in hiring me. I would rather had them not hire me in the first place rather than crush my dreams in the way that they did and set me up to be in debt for investing in them. I understand that I was supposed to impress them within a month’s time of working there and I didn’t - but to be thrown in the deep end and expected to produce greater work than creative seniors was not what I signed up for. And my CV and portfolio was shown to them to understand my capabilities - which they did not even try to comply with.
