*Training is incredibly rushed as their only focused on getting bodies in the centers to wax. Most services I had to learn on my own, or asking fellow waxers for help *Management in the Brooklyn district is close knit and bring their friends/families into stores to help push into quitting/fire staff they personally dislike, even if they are amazing at their jobs *You are expected to push guests to buy products they don't need, and to get additional services even if they don't have hair in that area *No break room or area to put our personal belongings *Overworking waxers by double booking without consent, having only one waxer in, most services are 15 minutes back to back so you wont even have proper time to clean your wax room *Managers who have come and helped to increase numbers/metrics are fired simply because they are nice to staff and defend staff from harassment from HR and upper management *HR will inform managers about forms submitted by employees about bullying/harassment by said manager, and start looking for any small reason to write up employees and fire them * Extremely high employee turnover rate (both with employees quitting, and being fired) for no good reason *Refuses to allow staff to be fulltime due to not wanting to pay benefits *No PTO or sick time unless your fulltime (which they refuse to do) *False write ups so they have a reason to fire employees they dislike

My waxer coworkers are fun to work with although they definitely have different waxer friend groups that exclude some of us

I’ve been made to work 6 days a week, opening shift after closing shifts to make up for hiring only 2 other GSA’s who have no availability so everything rides on me and if I’m sick I get reprimanded. Policies are not explained most of the time and they get upset after the fact if you aren't aware of them. It’s almost impossible to ever make commission since prices are unrealistic and the tedious work is only paid minimum wage. They say the most important duty is wax pass sales but set the bar too high. They watch your every move and take pictures of you for the littlest of things, I got in trouble for eating even though I was off the clock 30 mins before I opened shop. Most of the time manager duties fall on GSA’s and it’s almost impossible to use time off even though waxers and managers do it regularly. There’s been multiple instances of employees being endangered and assaulted, threatened, and 2 instances of GSA’s being unalived at work yet take no action to prevent this or keep us feeling safe even though they say they will. My center has water dripping in a bucket in our hallway regularly, we have to manually turn on the electric box every morning and sometimes our hall light doesn’t turn on. Our outlets have caught up in flames. We have product droughts for weeks and aren’t given cleaning products for weeks on end.
