High-velocity, early-stage startup with good vision for the future. Strong, experienced leadership team knows how to get results. Innovative product with far more potential than history has shown.

As with any start-up, the lines are sometimes fuzzy as to who owns what. This can lead to confusion and miscommunication. Also, there is some resistance and tension between the old product direction / aim and the future product; this creates conflict at times. All that said, Event Store IS evolving into a full, enterprise data platform. The leaders HAVE built companies from pre-series-A to successful IPO. And the team that is being assembled to deliver the future vision is top-notch. Finally, in spite of earlier comments, the CEO did not ask me to write this review. I just care a lot about Event Store and see tremendous potential to innovate in a bloated market. For full context, there was a reduction in force some months ago that was personally hard on a few of the veteran Event Store employees. This is unfortunate and I feel badly for these folks. Now, however, things are moving fast and in a good direction, and I am thoroughly happy to be a part of it.

There is a very strong leadership team in place, and the people who have worked so diligently to make Event Store viable in the past five years have done a great job preparing it for the next phase of growth.

The company wasn't exactly run as a healthy company for years, although many people who worked here did their best. There was a great deal of legacy toxicity and poor decision-making. The past 5 years of behaviors are causing a lot of catch-up work for a company that's been around for over a decade.
