The head office is a very toxic work environment. The pay is very poor, and often raises are skipped. Management is given a set amount for raises each year and if they don't give their staff raises, they keep that money. The main management method is bullying. The women that are in charge of the 3rd floor are so emotional, their first instinct is to yell and swear if a mistake is made. There is so much nepotism, I mean Nat-atism in the office. You are heavily discouraged from speaking to upper management. One manager frequently sleeps at her desk, and will openly tell you she didn't want to deal with something that is submitted for her approval. There are so many inter office affairs that take place between married employees. If you want respect from your workplace, this is NOT the company to get it.

Evertz is a good place to start a career. If you get an entry level position in the factory, there is a good chance that you can get a promotion into sales or management. I would recommend everts only if you have no experience and are looking to get your foot in the door to a better opportunity. It is worth putting in 2 to 3 years to get the experience, and then I would recommend looking for a new job as soon as possible.

You will be lied to constantly by your bosses and the owners of this company. You will be promised raises that never arrives. If you ask about when you're promised raise will go through, you will be met with a dismissive attitude. If you are going for a sales position, you should know that Evertz provides a yearly bonus that is not based on what you sell. They tell employees that the bonus is based on several factors, but that is actually not true. They do base bonuses on total sales, but by the way they do it, they can give you whatever they feel. In my years at Evertz, the sales managers were completely unsatisfied with their bonuses every year. Also, when you get a really big sale, you can expect one of the VP's to step in and tell you that the customer was historically theirs and now they are taking over the sale and you will get no credit for it. The benefits are the absolute worst that I have experienced. The medical covers very little and the dental covers cleanings only; you will be refused coverage on anything more. They do not match money in their 401K at all, you get nothing. I know that it's an overused term, but this company really has a toxic corporate culture. There is no work/life balance at all, you are expected to work like a dod and keep your mouth shut. Upper management is consistently sarcastic, demeaning, insulting and just plain mean. The corporate office is a very depressing place, nobody is happy.
