The VP of Sales has terrible communication skills, has zero empathy & compassion for others, unrealistic goals, no value of work - life balance & will torture & abuse you with hidden messages, manipulation, overwork you & condescend you so much that you question why you are there in the first place.

The company is extremely devoted to the morale of their staff; providing excellent benefits, opportunity for growth and travel, as well as fun filled events planned throughout the year! One of the most family-oriented type mentalities I’ve ever been employed by, with the best interest of their employees, located in subsidiary’s around the world, being a primary focus. Certainly, a “When there is teamwork and collaboration, great things can be achieved” mindset. With recent company growth, we were faced with the expected growing pains of the process, however management immediately stepped in to make positive changes that resonated throughout the company, eliminating the negative, bringing in qualified staff, better equipped, at performing the job at hand, ultimately improving the all-around vibe of the company.

Familial culture at HQ, seem to care about staff, opportunity to travel. Thorough training and re-education.

Pay is subpar given the demands on time, bonus structure is inadequate in comparison to jobs similar in scope. Boss is a micro-manager in the extreme interfering constantly with the work of all departments. Needs to validate his own ego by constantly acting as an authority in all subjects, even though he’s out of his depth in many aspects of sales. Sets up an environment where you’re constantly competing with your boss: not terribly productive, needless to say. Bullying and overbearance are tolerated and given token resistance, especially when it comes from staff who shares the boss’ deep insecurities. Failing to heed the advice of the more qualified and experienced creates a tense and inefficient office.
