Kinda old school management, salary & bonus were low compared to other tech companies. Many senior employees inside who have worked for more than 10 years, where some of them tend to control whatever you wanted to do, even subjective matters also ask to follow what they think (then they will be mad at you/not speaking to you because you talk back at them). Managers too were conservative about this matter, only can give general advises but doesn't change the behavior of the senior employee. Such attitude from a senior employee stops newbie for being too open and afraid to speak up because they don't want to offend the seniors.
