Nice downtown Milwaukee office location. Best parking structure in the city. Annual meetings and programs offer interesting travel opportunities. 35 hour work weeks for my particular role. Quick to upgrade job titles (some people are "senior managers" in just a few years). Willing to hire recent graduates.

While many employees are constantly "swamped" with work, most tasks are simple logistics. Designing a brochure page, sending an email, or reserving a venue can turn into weeks worth of approvals. There is little room for autonomy or creativity, and too much micromanagement when dealing with the subtle details. Hand-holding may be the name of the game in association management, but it does not create for a productive work environment.
