We appreciate your time and candid review and we’re sorry to hear that your employee experience in Vancouver is not as positive as we would like it to be for our people. In particular we are sorry to hear that you feel some managers have real work to do. At Exiger, one of our 2019 training and development goals is to launch a manager training series to provide the tools and support for our managers, whether new or experienced, to help them become stronger and more effective people leaders. We will bring back the topic of micromanagement to the team working on developing the training. In the coming months, we will launch the Exiger Diligence CareerGPS Program. This pilot 3-year rotational program will be focused on supporting the continued growth of our research professionals by providing a structured training and mentoring program along with a variety of functional experiences to supplement core research work. The pilot will be launched in our Silver Spring, Maryland office with the goal to roll out globally. During the pilot we will be encouraging our research professionals to provide feedback so that we can ensure the global roll-out is as successful and impactful for our people as it can be. - The people who you work with are genuinely kind, intelligent, and resourceful. - Sometimes the work is interesting. - Unlimited Discretionary Time Off (i.e. your manager has to approve it).

- Career development is nonexistent unless you came in as a VP. - RTO mandate. - The pay is not competitive, and will remain below par regardless of your performance. Expect annual raises below the rate of inflation. - The difference between what higher-ups assume our products and data sources can do often does not line up with reality. - The company donated the salaries of ~4 people to Trump's birthday party and then laid off a significant portion of the workforce. - Constant emails from HR welcoming new VP-level hires while everyone else who actually works has to fill in the gaps caused by the layoffs and sees nothing in return. - You will be pestered to vote for the CEO in every meaningless popularity contest that comes up, consigning you to a lifetime of spam email.

We’re glad you’ve had a positive experience with your colleagues, building strong, capable teams is something we value. That said, many of the claims in your review, particularly around compensation decisions, layoffs, and external activities, are either inaccurate or lack important context. We take transparency seriously and do not make decisions that compromise our values or our people. We recognize that periods of change can create frustration, especially around workload, communication, and career progression. These are areas we are actively working to improve, including clearer development paths, more consistent communication, and continued evaluation of compensation practices. We welcome candid feedback, but it’s important that it remains constructive and grounded in fact. We encourage employees to raise concerns directly so they can be addressed in a meaningful and productive way.
