This is a part-time job for high school/college students. I initially took this position to have something that would help pay the bills as I finished up school. It was great for the first 2 months until ownership was transferred. Throughout the duration of my employment, the owner acknowledged me once (which happened to be on my last day). It is clear that the owner forgets that they need their employees more than we need them. I resigned due to the owner refusing to hire more people at the retail store. The owner was completely out of touch with day-to-day operations taking place at the retail store. There were times when it would get extremely busy and customers were forced to wait long periods of time until 1 of the 2 (sometimes 3) employees were able to help. Wanted to cut costs by placing unrealistic expectations on retail store managers and employees to increase sales. Clearly does not understand the importance of bringing on a sales and marketing team. Given the amount of downtime you experience at the store, employees would often complete homework or go on their phones after finishing tasks outlined in the job description of a "sales/tech representative". The owner began watching surveillance cameras and if they noticed employees not "making cold calls" or "researching prospective businesses/customers" they would call the store manager and yell at them for not enforcing these rules.
