Vantaggi
QAS makes a point to hire hard-working, hard-playing people, so you will inevitably work with a driven group of people. Most employees are interesting and knowledgeable people. You will always have a sense of the direction the company is headed (according to management). Annual meetings and company parties are often lively, and middle/upper management makes a concentrated effort to meet you when you first sign on.
Svantaggi
Outside of the sales force, advancement is really limited. Certain individuals are clearly marked out for advancement, though not necessarily because they are the highest performers. Everyone else is encouraged to work hard for no raises or bonuses, or pushed into obviously dead-end projects with little-to-no fiscal benefit to the company (therefore no recognition from higher up). You receive regular performance reviews but it seemed clear (in the Tech department) that these had little to no bearing on the decisions that were made for advancement/project assignment. . Sales team is treated like the star football player at a high school, and often get away with treating everyone else poorly. Additionally, you would expect more flexibility from a tech company (like the ability to work from home if sick, or dress more casually for those not in sales). Work/life balance is awful, and the turn-over rate is ridiculously high.
