The executive staff communicated openly and seemed to genuinely want to improve the company.

They made zero effort to keep the top performers from the company they purchased. They wanted people to take a lower title. It came apparent very quickly that promotions were going to be nonexistent for employees of the acquired company. They let all the decision makers and top performers leave the company and seemed shocked when the product they had paid so much money for started to develop issues and features became dated. It felt very much like we were considered lesser employees, in comparison to the folks who had been hired directly by Fineos.
