Profoundly incompetent (at best) leadership that kept failing at literally everything except burning truckloads of capital into very little product. Until a couple years ago, there was some interesting AI being developed, although layers of incompetence killed the whole effort, and all those employees left or got axed.
Luckily (for now), two things kept the business under artificial respiration: deep pocketed investors who presumably cannot afford a public failure, and the deeply legacy nature of most other airline tech vendors.
