• Since I work on a bank contract, I get to pick and choose when I work and where I work. This works well around my university studies and my personal/family life.
• Having the option to work in various roles on various contracts means I very rarely get fed up of coming to work. I can choose to work NHS 999 deployment, events or office work supporting business needs if I choose to.
• I have been given the option to develop professionally and clinically. Starting as an Emergency Care Assistant, I now work as an Emergency Care Technician and also have the option to support in training and mentoring.
• Being a well established company, support the ICB across the region and offers mutual aid to other companies, this gives me the option to see how the healthcare system works as a whole.
• I feel supported and encouraged here, rather than just managed.
• There is always a variation of shifts available so the opportunity to earn more or less if you choose is there.
Svantaggi
• I wouldn’t really see this as a con on the companies behalf, this is more so on me as an individual. With FSNE being well established and having good links with multiple NHS trusts, Primary Care Trusts, ICBs and even local universities. There is often high intakes of new staff, now I know everyone has to start somewhere in their career and I was once at the start of mine - it can be a little stressful when working with new staff members.
