Fallon ambulance has a very open schedule so overtime is always available…..if they actually pay you for it. There are a lot of good people who make the experience much better. There is minor opportunity to work with paramedics as well if you would like to shadow.

The company is ill prepared in every manor. Almost every truck has over 200,000 miles on it and you will run into vehicle issues atleast once a week. Payroll is very sketchy and you will most likely have to email them atleast once a month to actually get paid. Supervisors will say vitals are important, all the while 3/4 of the trucks do not have pulse oximeters in them. The equipment that is there is ancient. Some of the trucks actually have cling wrap instead of actual chest seals. The basic trucks also leave their tourniquets in a locked box, so if you have arterial bleeding you might as well use your belt and low crawl to the ER. The response time of you crawling is probably better than calling Fallon.The aweful response time also has nothing to do with the fact that you do not get a lunch break. The transport trucks are expected to eat whilst on the road between calls and they are not allowed to take their mask off.
