Vantaggi
Great leagues to work with (NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB etc) Located in a super fun city to live in Good entry level job
Svantaggi
• Extreme lack of diversity, across the board but particularly in management • Stagnate pay/little upward mobility They squeeze you- the company grows by acquiring other businesses or licenses which adds profits but creates an enormous amount of work. They don't hire new employees to execute the new projects and expect the existing employees to do more and more with no raises or promotions in sight. To make things even worse, if they're underperforming financially that year they'll actually prune and layoff a few people to hit their target. Every 8 months or so you have to fear for your job and are expected to feel good and that you're valued because you "survived" the latest round of layoffs-meanwhile now you have more work to do with even less team members to help. Seems like everyone at the very top is just trying to drag the company to the IPO finish line or they're praying that Amazon or Walmart acquires the company so they don't have to do the hard work of running it. They seem uninterested in actually building a sustainable business that works for their employees and are instead just looking for the exit sign that allows the top brass to cash out big and move on to their next C level position. Current employees will read this and wonder "where's the lie?"...
