Vantaggi
As a driver you don't have a manager watching you work Its a good work out The starting pay per hour is fair The training is paid for and very educational
Svantaggi
Being hired as a part time driver it's literally 2-3 hours per day. 10 to 15 hours per week. Not a lot of money to be made there. Even though the manager isn't able to watch you, you are under a lot of stress to deliver your packages by a certain deadline, and you're manager knows where you are on the road and whats left to be delivered. So he/she may call you to pick up the pace, or scream their heads off at you, if you're unable to deliver on time. The opportunity to advance is mostly in job title only, the pay increases are minimal (and only once a year). Even working as many hours as you can (30 max p/t) you'll make less than $500 a week. I was doing that, by leaving in the morning and returning in the evening to unload vehicles. Not unionized (nor can it be) so the health benefits are also not great.
