Svantaggi
You don't get to choose your off days. The Hub is closed on Mondays, then your remaining off day is decided based on seniority between how long current employees have been there. As you might guess, the weekend days are always taken. Get used to having your off days Tues-Thurs. This means if you have anything you're used to doing on a weekly basis (like Church on Sunday), you can forget about it for the time being. You have to call in before work every morning to know when you start (can start anywhere from 8-10a.m. usually, depending on time of year/which area you work in. This is a big con for me, as your shift is never static. Usually you will go from ~9a.m.-2pm for the day shift, but this can vary to +/- an hour from day to day. The job itself is very demanding physically. I'm apparently in what is generally decided as the hardest area to work in, "input", where you unload Cans with all the packages onto a conveyor system. Packages can range from a few ounces to 75 pounds usually. You will be constantly throwing packages for 4-6 hours, and your body will hate you the first month you work there (and still probably longer after). It gets very loud and you have to wear ear protection every day, and most of the areas are subjected to the outside, despite having a roof over you. Some managers are lax on what you can wear, but technically speaking the dress code is very strict. You aren't supposed to wear anything with a logo or writing on it, and you are only supposed to wear black/dark blue (with maybe some greys mixed in).
