Vantaggi
- Mission-driven product (in theory/CEO’s own theory) - Talented and caring coworkers who are doing their best. Fella Health may promote a mission-driven brand around men’s wellness, but behind the scenes, the company is marked by unethical practices, poor leadership, and alarming gaps in both employee treatment and patient safety.
Svantaggi
- Terminations without notice, meeting, or documentation Employees are frequently let go without warning, without performance reviews, and without any documentation or explanation. Your access is simply cut off mid-day, without a meeting or even a goodbye. This kind of treatment is not only unprofessional — it’s dehumanizing. - Misleading compensation (forced equity deducted from salary) You’re told during hiring that your annual salary will be, for example, $20,500. But once onboarded, you’re forced to accept a reduced cash salary due to a required “equity” portion, which they claim is part of your compensation. CEO Richie insists equity is “an additional component of compensation, separate from cash,” yet you are given no choice, no clarity, and no way to adjust or decline it. It’s misleading and disingenuous. - Forced overtime even on days off Even while actively removing employees, the company frequently pressures remaining staff to render overtime — including on scheduled days off — under the guise of being mission-driven or working in a “startup culture.” This practice is unsustainable, demoralizing, and exploitative. There’s a clear lack of respect for work-life boundaries and employee well-being. - Poor leadership and lack of transparency Leadership is reactive and dismissive. Feedback loops don’t exist. High turnover is normalized. There’s no transparency, no accountability, and certainly no loyalty to the people who are working hard to uphold the company’s promises. - Reliance on AI Tools for patient support due to limited medical guidance - Patients struggle to reach actual PCPs even in urgent situations Patients experiencing side effects often struggle to reach a qualified healthcare provider. As former employees, we were routinely expected to use AI tool instaled in Front or use ChatGPT to respond to client messages, not because we lacked empathy, but because there was a severe lack of clinical support and clear protocols. This calls into question the safety and ethical standards of the care being delivered.
