Vantaggi
I left a position of 6 years to work at Fetch as I was looking for new opportunities and a company I could grow with. My team was wonderful and I really loved working with them. I appreciate the time I spent there and what I learned from my team. It is a fun environment to work in, dog friendly offices and some really great people. Some fun corporate outings and in-office events.

The job I accepted ended up being quite different from the job I was actually doing. I was told there was room for growth and that I would be taking on more work, and it ended up being very mundane tasks with little improvement over the year I was there. Right before I left they started BIG changes. We were told this was not a layoff situation, but those began shortly after. They brought in new higher-ups to do corporate restructuring and changed our teams and the entire corporate structure. We were told this would be better for our day-to-day work, but when pushed on this they admitted they didn't really know what most of the people on my team did. I was hired as a full time remote employee. Due to this I had made plans to move out of the city, and got this move confirmed with my direct manager and HR. Shortly after I ended my lease, we were told all remote employees would need to come back to the office immediately. there was no explanation given as to why. I explained my situation but was told I was not exempt as they had not "officially" approved my move. I was told I could no longer work remotely even though they were keeping out of state remote employees in similar positions. It felt like a big push to get employees to quit so they wouldn't have to lay people off and pay unemployment. I was not the only employee who felt this way. I tried talking to several people within the company but was tossed around from person to person until they just laid me off, siting cut-backs and downsizing. This coming right after the CEO promised no layoffs were coming. I felt dehumanized and disrespected during that whole period.
