As a production supervisor, pay was higher than average for the area. Area of responsibility WAS manageable when each department had its own supervisor. A lot of the tenured employees were great to work with and became family after a while. You develop a since of pride for the product you make.

Way too many managers running around and none of them actually do any kind of actual managing. Management gets swapped out just about as much as the temp workers. Trying to get assistance from any other department is useless unless you tag them in an email and CC the plant manager. CCing the plant manager in emails is the ONLY way to get people to do their jobs. HR department was an absolute joke. Health insurance costs were moderately high if you have a family. The plant is very unsafe, dirty, and dusty. It does not have an adequate ventilation system in place to remove all the wood/polymer dust from the production process, so unless you wear a respirator the entire time you are there you are breathing in dust particles of treated wood, and different types of polymers. I'm actually scared to find out in the future what my exposure to these things will do to my health. In the summer the temperature inside near the production lines can reach up to 130°F. During my time there I never received any kind of training even though during my initial interview I was told I would be trained, cut to 1.5 years later I was still fending for myself. The managers try their hardest to keep the owner Doug Mancosh from learning their dirty little secrets of wasting his money to the point where they do whatever they can to keep him from speaking one on one with employees from the production floor.
