Leadership has truly lost their way. When I joined this company it was all about technology, productivity, and ensuring we have top talent. Now leadership is pushing RTO while lying to our faces about it. Leaders can't even get through a call without mentioning how they used to work longer hours and do more from home, and then just pivot to how great things are in the office. Everything is focused on how many things teams did, completely ignoring the impact teams have had. Hardly anyone actually talks about revenue or business. Just number of tasks completed and how great the office is. I haven't heard one leader discuss productivity since we started mandatory return to office. When we had hiring flexibility we'd have dozens of excellent quality candidates. Now that we are site restricted the talent coming in for roles is significantly lower quality. Leaders are retiring rapidly due to RTO, while others are openly considering leaving. The entire company is resting on its laurels and losing quality people left and right. My 5 year outlook of the company has changed significantly within the past year, and I've lost faith in senior leadership that I once admired.
