Vantaggi

Great, tight knit team willing to have each others' backs. Work/life balance is great but that's more so due to lack of engagement not lack of work.

Svantaggi

The culture there is terrible. There are no other executive members so no checks and balances. When things go wrong, the ceo goes on a mission to find who should take the blame. Sometimes things don't work out with tasks that the CEO approved or even came up with himself; when this happens he pretends that he was never informed of the decision to do that particular assignment. Or another common response from him is that we misunderstood him. One of their (his) company values is Integrity. This is the company with the least integrity I've ever worked for. Business strategy is questionable, with the CEO initiating a number of projects that split the team, none with market validation, to grasp at straws to make something work. His incredibly huge ego prevents any team member from constructive criticism. All software development roles here are basically "the factory workers" and all business roles are "secretary to the CEO". His common response to best practices / processes that we bring from extensive past experiences is that the other companies are doing it wrong and that we should do things differently. He thinks he's Steve Jobs when he's closer to Elizabeth Holmes.
