Good Projects like Hong Kong FinTech Week, Majority of the Colleagues are Great and Talented

Svantaggi

This company is a masterclass in toxic positivity. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. The co-founders seemed obsessed with monitoring every keystroke, often asking us to 'surprise him' with ideas (and then ban them and rage), rather than providing actual guidance or support. Tasks were often unclear, with unrealistic deadlines and fickle expectations that shifted daily. The management's communication style was consistently rude and dismissive, bordering on abusive. Gaslighting was a common tactic, leaving employees feeling confused and demoralized. Employee's benefit and retention were never a priority of the HR here. The turnover rate is insane. Majority of the team here are new or less than a year. That says so much about this company. There's a strong culture of favoritism, with certain employees (the "boss's pets") receiving preferential treatment and opportunities, regardless of their performance. Meanwhile, those who consistently perform well are overlooked and unappreciated. Overtime is rampant but poorly compensated, further adding to the already stressful and toxic environment. Mental health is completely disregarded; the pressure and negativity are overwhelming. The company's ideas are often unrealistic and poorly thought out, leading to constant frustration and wasted effort.  They often brand themselves as 'work-life balance', 'we're a family', 'fun and frequent office parties' but these are all just how they package themselves, truth is, brace yourself for constant mental abuse. Oh but hey, they'll throw a "fun" office party to distract you from the fact that your mental health is being systematically eroded. Work-life balance? Ha! That's a joke. This "family" will gladly consume your soul and spit out your remains. CONclusion - Micromanagement, gaslighting, favoritism, unrealistic deadlines, and poor compensation for excessive overtime are just a few of the issues plaguing this company. Management is consistently rude and dismissive, and mental health is clearly not a priority. Hard work goes unappreciated, and the overall culture is incredibly toxic. In short, this is a place where your hard work and dedication will be EXPLOITED and your well-being ignored. Save yourself the heartache and look elsewhere. Toxic Workplace - Run, Don't Walk!

Vantaggi

I can't think of any.

Svantaggi

1. Don’t get fooled by their reviews. The 4 and 5 star ones were either written by HR or the Marketing team under the boss’s orders. Trust me. No one leaves this company gracefully. 2. Management is very self-absorbed and lacks clear vision, direction, and follow-through. Many ideas sound good in meetings, but when it comes to execution, there is often no real action plan. One month they push one idea, and a few weeks later they suddenly switch to something else without properly informing the team. Employees are then expected to deal with the chaos and somehow deliver results based on inconsistent decisions. It often feels like management creates confusion, while staff are left to clean up the mess and make things work. The turnover rate is very high so see for yourself.
