We've had lots of growth and opportunity with our showroom channels, expanding rapidly in creating new opportunities for career advancement and innovation. We have modernized manufacturing for agility. I just recently witnessed lots of improved processes and a more efficient production pipeline allowing us to be more nimble on pricing lead times and customization. A true game changer. Fireclay has always been a leader in the tech world. Our CEO has embraced a more modern digital first mindset in empowering our teams with better tools, data and support to do their best work especially incorporating AI. I believe we have the best industry leading Sales Teams and leadership team, who work alongside each other in a respected professional manner, and our leadership team is invested in mentorship vision and long-term success . My favorite thing about Fireclay Tile is how we are passionate about culture and purpose or not just about manufacturing Tile where about building a company full of heart drive and shared wins! Passion fuels everything we do.

Things to keep in mind for cons, we are a fast paced environment company we want to be proactive and not reactive. I believe growth brings excitement, but it also means you have to pivot quickly. There are tight timelines and very high expectations. We continue to scale and enter into new markets, so some processes and communication structures are still evolving. There is no doubt in my mind that this will all smooth itself out as we grow. Keep in mind change is constant with rapid growth comes regular updates to systems tools and procedures. If you're uncomfortable with frequent change, it might feel overwhelming at times.

This is my favorite job I’ve ever had. I like what I do, who I work with and the clients I take care of. Fireclay makes insanely beautiful tile, so it’s fun to sell and it feels good as a salesperson to truly believe in the product. The tech stack internally is fantastic for a non-tech industry company. Was pleasantly surprised about this when I joined. I’d recommend this company as a wonderful place to work if you’re not looking to advance your career in a monetary way. If you’re in your 30s with a good resume in your pocket, you will most likely be taking a paycut to work here.

If I had it my way, I’d stay here for years. Unfortunately, it’s hard to imagine a future here when the current pay is so low and doesn’t look like it’s going to get any better. A $60k base in general is not great, but in the Bay Area it is not a living wage. And the 4.5% commission structure is not equitable. There are also no accelerators for when you go above your quota. It feels discouraging to think about a career path here when this is the starting point with pay. Clear ask here: raise base pay without lowering commission rate.
