Svantaggi
Pretty much anything not listed above under “Pros”. 1. Executive leadership is severely lacking. The company is extremely concerned with doing things quickly and not very concerned with doing them right. Product seems to be measured on how much/often it releases, not on the quality of the release. In my experience, the products created are low quality and do not serve the business well. There is internal tension between teams because of this. I believe because of its inability to deliver quality products or hire more top tech talent, the company will continue to have major issues. 2. I believe that many people in the business do not understand the true roles of certain job functions. It seems as though Revenue Operations and Marketing teams especially are misunderstood, and there were recent layoffs on these teams. 3. Decisions are sometimes made in silos and this creates chaos at the company. Sometimes decisions are announced to the whole company and then rescinded shortly thereafter, causing unnecessary “fire drills” and wasted work. 4. I did not like the culture at Firefly and often felt overwhelmed, intimidated, and like I had to gear up for a fight about my work every day. After only a few weeks, I was already taking screenshots of my Slack conversations so that I would be able to defend myself later if necessary. Many people I worked with are overwhelmed by their workload and feel unable to take short breaks or work normal hours. I heard things like “why isn’t [name of employee] not sleeping until this is done?” from a leader at the company. There is MUCH work to be done at this company if it wants to stick around.
