Old school micromanagement IT managers that have been with bank a long time go on power trips to control their direct reports and non-managers. Management skills are lacking - manage by knee-jerk reacting, panic, risk averse to everything, can only make decisions by committee, not accountable for decisions and not held accountable, do not empower employees. Their behaviors are similar to middle school - talk about employees to other staff. Talk the talk, but can't walk the walk when it comes to living the company values of transparency.
