First Community is amazing to their members. However if you are an employee they could not care less. They love to bend the rule for members. If a member complains they will always get what they want. Times are changing and that “customer is always right” is no longer what the world wants. Members will threaten people, swear, scream, and upper management will bend over backwards to not have a lawsuit. You are expected to jump through hoops for members but upper management will throw you under the bus anytime a rule THEY created upsets a member. The back office seems understaffed and over worked. Branches are just trying to avoid a pop up visit from any senior management. They need to stop building branches and hire for the branches and back office they already have. Upper management hides information. It always has to be a big secret. If they told their staff what they had planned it would result in less chaos and drama. If they treat people like child they will act as such. Unfortunately, the first few years are great and they really make it seem like they care and change is coming soon. The issue is it’s like a cult. They suck you in and many never get out. The president is old school and needs to get with the times. He spends most of his days golfing or worrying about what size mugs people are drinking from. Good new though, you have a 12oz cup and a tumbler to pick from now… fancy!
