Insurance- But don’t let them fool you into believing it’s “free”. You literally get paid less than other workers in your field with relative experience. There is a pension. And coworkers and several members are nice to work with, though this comraderie dwindles more and more with each passing year. We do get a decent amount of personal time, but when you can’t use it because your area is constantly short staffed, it gets aggravating.

Raises are an actual joke. It is insulting, with more transparency in salaries, to find out that the brand new hire with no experience or knowledge in the field, who carries half the responsibility of a seasoned employee of 15 to 20+ years, is being hired in with only roughly a $10k pay gap. With inflation rising so steeply, this just doesn’t work anymore. Salary increases are indicative of not just performance but respect. FCCU demands respect but does not return it. As far as affordability, believe me, they can afford to compensate much better across the board. Then there are the staff shortages. In a world where our members expect better and quicker, quality service is getting nearly impossible to deliver. Yet FCCU is of the mindset to keep opening new branches, huge new endeavors (Realty still hasn’t paid for itself), and creating new and bizarre “management positions” at the corporate office. Expansion is a bad idea when you don’t consider how you are going to staff it. There is a lot of turnover. Don’t get me started on how they treat their buildings as badly as their frontline staff. It’s all neglected, misused, and falling apart.
