The work done here is easy. If you have good coworkers and a good supervisor, the work days can be very simple. When it comes to dealing with upset customers, or an upset coworker, you will easily get thrown under the bus and management will deliver a writeup or reprimanding with no communication leading up to it. They blindside you when it comes to their disciplinary actions. Leadership also holds people with the same responsibilities or seniority to different standards. If you brown nose enough, or victimize yourself enough, they will likely give you special treatment and not hold you accountable. I have witnessed people get promoted with no pay increase after being promised one, people told to report to others that were not their direct superior, and people go to HR with no resolution since they take it to the very management you complain about and nothing gets done. This bank prides itself on being a community bank when really it puffs it chest through social media and good ole west Texas boys who want to operate in elite social circles. If you work here for half your life, you'll get somewhere, but ultimately you have to come from money or know someone to be someone in this company. If you care about Abilene politics and are willing to sell out or sell others out to move up, this place is for you. Also, I did not work in the customer care center, but the bank's leadership condones that department's toxic work environment, micromanaging, and terrible treatment from customers. They time you on everything you do if you are not on the phones, and they will dock you points when something personal comes up or there's an emergency
