The owners, all engineers themselves, genuinely care about creating high-quality products rather than just focusing on profit, which sets the tone for the whole company. The environment here is casual and supportive, with minimal micromanagement, so you’re trusted to get your work done in the way that suits you best. It’s inspiring to see the owners in the office every day—they’re genuinely involved and approachable. HR goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels valued, and the benefits package is excellent. Compensation here is always above market, which is a reflection of how much the company values its team. On top of it all, there are ample opportunities for professional growth, making it a place where you can build a long, fulfilling career. Company communication is an issue in pretty much every company

They did find an excellent job for an initial assignment. They also made the idea of being a contract-type employee (compared to direct hire status) at a major defense contractor very appealing. They also picked good options for health and 401k plans.

Senior managements' background is software test & evaluation, which is great for developing an excellent employment network, but not so helpful for finding work for employees who have research and development experience once the market gets tight (I was hired at the startup phase of a large program, when it was probably a lot easier for Fisheye to find R&D work without much experience on their part.)
