Vantaggi
The job is easy to get, and the owners (at least the ones at my store) were very friendly, as were the general managers.
Svantaggi
The pay is horrible. You should probably just clear your schedule for the whole day because they will keep you typically for an hour or two after you're supposed to get off (if you're working day shift) and call you at 7 in the morning, asking if you can come in early or work a double. If you say that you can't, the managers so "OK" and hang up the phone. If they still can't find anyone they'll keep calling back, promising benefits. If you comply, you usually won't receive the benefits. The management does not respect you at all, even if you've worked there for years. I worked at Five Guys for 4 years and never made above $7.25...and they told me I made more than anyone except the managers and the grill guy! I traded shifts one time the day before my grandfather passed away because we knew it was about to happen, and I made sure management knew. On the day he died, my manager called me (after she knew what was going on because I told her myself) to ask if I could come in the next day. No respect. If you ask for a day off, they will become bitter and cut your hours down to two days--then call you up every day that you're normally scheduled to work and ask you to come in. 4 years of being treated like this was a mistake.
