Flash Pack markets itself as a dream workplace, but my experience here has been far from the glossy image portrayed. Transparency is non-existent when it comes to company targets or what leadership truly wants to achieve. Employees are constantly overworked, yet due to a culture of gaslighting, no one feels safe admitting to burnout. Instead of addressing these issues, they are dismissed or deflected by leadership, leaving staff to silently suffer. The pay transparency framework, a central pillar of Flash Pack’s ethos, is admirable in theory. Unfortunately, in practice, it benefits only a select few departments, leaving others wondering if fairness is simply a buzzword. It’s like building a bridge halfway across a river, you can see the potential, but it doesn’t quite get you where you need to go. The CEO appears disconnected from reality, preferring to hide behind curated LinkedIn posts that gloss over serious issues like the lack of work-life balance, underpayment, and a toxic "reward system" that only acknowledges employees who work 24/7. Favouritism and nepotism run rampant, particularly among managers and the C-suite, fostering an environment where biases flourish. Employees are afraid to raise concerns, as doing so often feels like risking their job security. While the company champions "radical candour," in practice, it only flows in one direction, from the top down. Any feedback or concerns challenges by employees are ignored, met with hostility and of course, more gaslighting. Burnout is rampant, and bringing it up feels like asking for a “motivational” speech about resilience instead of tangible solutions, with work-life balance treated more as an aspiration than a policy. When concerns are raised, the response often feels dismissive or, worse, coated in corporate jargon. Recognition seems reserved for those willing to forgo personal boundaries in favour of relentless productivity. When redundancies were made, employees were blindsided. There was no communication, no warning, and no transparency. Leadership offered false reassurances that everything was fine, making the lack of honesty and foresight difficult to reconcile with the company’s stated "values". I fully anticipate the CEO responding to this review with a flurry of statistics and surface level justifications rather than addressing the real issues. This unwillingness to confront reality perpetuates the delusions of leadership and continues to undermine what could have been a truly thriving workplace. While I genuinely wish Flash Pack the best, these systemic issues need attention. Until they are resolved, I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to anyone.
