Decision-making power is concetrated at the c-level, with little room for initiative for domain experts - CTO often overrides decisions without a solid grasp of the domain, resulting in misaligned priorities, inefficient use of resources, and minimal outcomes - This environment is especially frustrating for experienced engineers who are eager to make contributions but are consistently blocked by subjective opinions and non-technical decisions
