Great small business, has had a few bumps - Recensione dipendente - Intern presso Flo Trend Systems

It was a great company to work for, great group of people to work with, amazing Christmas parties, company lunches were frequently provided for all employees. Trade shows were outrageously weird, but were great opportunities for new customers. Many of the same employees that were there when I worked for Flo Trend are still there and are still more than likely amazing people to work with. Especially the crew out in the shop...

The company sells equipment that removes water from waste, so you're going to see or potentially handle waste material. That could be grease trap waste, it could be sewage, it could be something worse. But, it was all safely monitored and handled, so you're never in harms way, but you didn't want to have to think about what might be in the packages that came in the mail for the engineering teams... Pay wasn't so great at the time, I moved onto a new position that came with a 100% increase in my salary. Hopefully that's improved over time. I won't discuss some of the company's dirty laundry as those people involved with the scandals are no longer with the company, but you can read about it if you look around online.

Most of your coworkers do a great job. They're what keeps the company afloat. You meet good people, especially in the shop.

Owner sees you as litter more than a cog in the machine and has no respect for those working there and the office manager has changed many times, some good, some terrible.
