Flexibility Great for Retired RNs Intermittent good compensation

The RN rarely knows if they are awarded an assignment until 1-2 days before. This can mean there is not enough time for nurse to prepare and contact the patient. There is very little medical information about the patient. A percentage of visits cancel for mostly preventable reasons, even after the nurse may have booked hotels, or driven hours to get there. This subverts a seemingly high compensation amount, when all the additional hours are factored in.
