Avoid at All costs - Recensione dipendente - Store Manager presso Footasylum

Having worked for a variety of retailers over the past 15 years I can hands down say this is the worst company I have ever worked for. I was recruited for a new store 3 months before it's opening which I thought was great as it would allow me to help with recruitment of management & team to have a strong start to the store. However, the assistant manager had been gifted the job as they knew the area manager without ever being interviewed (and subsequently left before the store opened before they were due to be dismissed). With the supervisor & staff recruitment, the support provided by higher management was appauling. People recommended for management positions who had never even held a set of keys before. And 1/2 of the sales recruits not even showing up. It wasn't staff for the store we needed, it was a more competent HR and recruitment team @ Head Office. When we had finally secured our team, the training provided or lack of was nothing but a disaster. One day to teach everything & some staff having their first day being the opening day. Due to this lack of support and lack of training around 1/2 the staff left within the first month. Due to dwindling staff & management for a newly opened store, people were drafted in from other stores including a member of management on final warning for inappropriate sexual behaviour, not somebody I would want to leave in charge of people under 18. Between November 18 and April 19 there have been between 20-30 management who have left this business from 1 Area under 1 area manager so I can only dread to think how many have left the company. Avoid at all costs, you will be under valued, under paid, under supported, over worked, over stressed & over stretched.
