Great products and very good people to work with. Ford hires strong people, who have a passion for the automotive industry.

Svantaggi

Ford needs to get out of the continuous downsize mode. The product plan has been tilted toward trucks and SUV's, and there has been a market shift toward cars. Also, Ford needs to act as a more global company, and take advantage of great products that we make around the world.

Pretty easy job, low stress, good work life balance, nice people. If you just want a place where you can maintain a stable career, with decent pay, and a good work life balance, you could do much worse than Ford.

Terrible leadership decisions. ADAS got wrecked over the past 2 years. Most of the talented engineers that I knew have moved on. Part was intentional attrition via return to office mandates and the rest was just the fact that the talented folks who could easily get new jobs got frustrated enough to leave. If you're interested in deep technical work related to autonomy, robotics, ADAS, etc - Ford is not the place you want to be. All of the interesting work has been moved to Latitude, Ford ADAS is mostly just supplier management now.
