      Ford as with the other "Big 3" auto manufacters have great benefits and large amount of vacation time. Pay isn't bad either, higher than most "outside" skilled trades positions.

      Very little or no room for advancement. Even though the economy is showing some improvement it's hard not to have a precarious, uneasy feeling about the future of your career in the automotive industry, do inpart because of the economic climate here in the greater Detroit area.

      Pretty easy job, low stress, good work life balance, nice people. If you just want a place where you can maintain a stable career, with decent pay, and a good work life balance, you could do much worse than Ford.

      Terrible leadership decisions. ADAS got wrecked over the past 2 years. Most of the talented engineers that I knew have moved on. Part was intentional attrition via return to office mandates and the rest was just the fact that the talented folks who could easily get new jobs got frustrated enough to leave. If you're interested in deep technical work related to autonomy, robotics, ADAS, etc - Ford is not the place you want to be. All of the interesting work has been moved to Latitude, Ford ADAS is mostly just supplier management now.
