You can make a difference here, but be ready to be talked over, down to, and dismissed by your male colleagues. Especially if those male colleagues are in management. There are a lot of organizational changes that are going on that aren't communicated. You'll hear of entire departments getting reorganized through the grapevine instead of from the people who should be telling you.
