- Director gave me instructions that I needed to "push and challenge" my manager because I had more experience. Isn't that what my manager was supposed to do with me? - The position required travel. When accepting the position the expectation was that travel would not be more than 25% of the time. Turned out to be more like 75% - 80%. Travel accommodations are CHEAP. I would regularly have to share rooms with total strangers that worked for the company. If there is a holiday, expect to fly on it. For an owner to be super Christian and then EXPECT their staff to fly on Easter SUNDAY and not get any type compensation or extra time off for that is beyond me. - The corporate office culture is miserable. My department was so uncomfortably silent it was just keyboards and squeaky chairs all day. Not to mention the fear the executives rule by. Don't even think that you can speak (for any reason) to a Director or VP unless your direct supervisor tells you it's okay. No joke. They will call you into their office to chew you a new one so fast it makes your head spin. - Ever had an armed security guard walk you to and from your car at the office? I'm not talking pepper spray either - loaded handgun. Not sure if this has changed since the move to the new building but definitely added to the experience of working at F21. - The day you give your notice just expect to get walked out. It happens to 99% of the workforce. Even if you put in your two weeks they won't pay you out for it.
