If you are an exempt employee, you are expected to work as much of the day as necessary to get the job done, and the company provides zero overtime or additional compensation for it. This routinely translates into 50-60 hour work weeks where you are only effectively compensated for 40. Seeing the actuals versus the budgets on these projects makes the amount of uncompensated labor glaringly obvious. The working conditions for many staff members, particularly visa-dependent employees, feel horrific. On top of the burnout, the vacation policy is basically non-existent; you max out at a mere 10 days (80 hours) of vacation for your first four years of employment.
