This is a company where the founder's external narrative is the product, and everything internal is shaped around protecting it. On management: senior leaders are hired with the language of ownership and autonomy, then operated against in practice. Decisions get reversed without context, priorities shift without communication, and the operating cadence depends on whatever the founder is focused on that week. There is no stable plane to plan against. On openness and transparency: framed as a core value, executed as a slogan. Commercial numbers, runway context, and strategic rationale are gated. Senior hires are expected to commit to plans without access to the inputs behind them, then held responsible when the plans shift underneath them. On feedback culture: upward feedback is unwelcome. Surface a concern about strategy, pipeline reality, or team capacity and the response is personal rather than analytical. Over time this trains the org to stop raising real issues, which is the opposite of what an early stage company can afford. On founder behavior: significant energy at the top goes into personal visibility, LinkedIn presence, and external storytelling rather than the operating work. The pattern is consistent enough that it shapes the culture: people optimize for being seen by the founder rather than for solving the actual problem. This is corrosive for any function that requires honest commercial conversation, sales especially.

It can of course become a bit too much if you don't manage to balance out things and always say yes to everything that is thrown at you, I don't see this as a con, it's just something you learn over time
