Svantaggi
Company pays loyal workers, some of whom have been with the company for decades, less than what Crown offers kids straight out of high school as starting pay. Expect to make an average of $11 per hour to do the same job that 18-year-olds are paid $17 per hour to do less than 15 miles away. Supervisors have poor attitudes. Company hires many middle-aged women who love nothing more than to gossip and stir up trouble. Company also has a very dangerous habit of hiring young farm girls as summer help, many of whom have no previous experience with heavy machinery, and a good amount of these girls get injured on the job, usually by having their hands crushed in trim presses. Mandatory overtime is a huge problem with this company as they buy up as many contracts as possible without considering if they have the manpower to meet the conditions of the contracts. This leaves many of their employees forced to work six and sometimes seven 12-hour shifts per week, often with additional overtime tacked on top of these 12-hour shifts. Company has also done away with just about every holiday except for Christmas in order to keep parts flying out of the factory. This causes resentment towards management, and the product suffers. Nearly half of all parts cast in this plant are returned by clients because of defects. Benefits are a joke.
