I came here thinking it was a digital agency and a buy and sell platform with 60 brands but there are no data analysts, no technical director, a huge lack of product and project managers and most of the 60 brands are dead. The current priority as a group is garden centres and other brands get ignored. 50% of recent posts on @fridaymediagroup instagram have been about Upcountry while digital product launches haven't been mentioned. A lot of people work very hard and feel ignored and underresourced plus communication is really bad, we haven't had any group wide wrap meetings since lockdown and one of the most senior directors left and this hasn't even been announced. The staff turnover is really high and not just in the Brighton office. I think people within their own divisions work quite well but are let down by those in charge. It is a bit like an old men's working club at the top and they're not really sure whether the company is a hipster agency or a garden centre/retail business.
