Vantaggi
Departments outside analytics seemed to offer a slightly better quality of life. The management is competent but will expect very high performance standards. They will also give a small bonus each year. You will have heavy responsibilities here so there's definitely the expectation that you will do much more in your position than other firms with similar job descriptions. They are very technical and there's no made up funny numbers here - they are honest in their work with clients.
Svantaggi
Very impatient management in the analytics department. They don't bother to fully explain what they want you to do, then get annoyed if you ask questions for clarification. There's not much training, they will expect you to just figure out stuff on your own. Hours are extremely long for pay that is not exactly competitive - expect to kiss your social life goodbye if you work here. You will work investment banker hours for far less compensation. The business is small so there's alot of overload when new clients are signed. If you don't manage to deal with the rocket-high expectations adequately, they will simply fire you with no prior notice, and this happened to other workers in the analytics department who made the sacrifice of relocating all the way to this area. Beware if you interview, they will say that they will keep you busy, but they will not tell you they want investment banker type commitments.
