The induction process is relatively comprehensive and well structured, offering a wide range of engaging information, particularly valuable for those who may not have previously travelled abroad or who are preparing to live and work in a country quite different from their own.
In my role as a mentor for the groups who came to the country to work in local schools and deliver educational content, the work was demanding and the days were often long. However, I always felt very well supported and thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience. Working with a smaller organization in the nonprofit sector is a great advantage, as it allows you to feel that your ideas and opinions are genuinely heard and valued. The training provided was thorough and effectively equipped us for the role, encouraging us to develop positive mindsets and reframe challenges into opportunities, which is a valuable life skill that I continue to use.
