Unfortunately, my experience with Fuzzy was not positive. I left the company after less than a year due to a number of concerns regarding the business practices. One of the major issues with the company was their inappropriate sense of urgency. There was a lack of prioritization of goals, which made it difficult for employees to focus on what was most important. Additionally, the company was swimming in technical debt, which made it challenging to make any meaningful progress. Another issue was the lack of vision for improving the situation for either employees or customers. The business model was not economically viable, and the company could not scale. As the marketing improved and more customers started accessing the service, there were not enough vet techs and veterinarians available to fulfill the service. This led to a frustrating experience for both employees and customers. Fuzzy also executed two layoffs in my short tenure at the company, Their overhiring is a huge negative an is another reason to look elsewhere. Finally, I had concerns about the leadership within the company. My manager was not an engineer and did not understand engineering practice. This led to a lack of support for senior engineering employees and made it challenging to make progress. Overall, my experience with this company was not positive. While I appreciate the concept behind the business, the poor business practices made it difficult to succeed.
